Had japanese ramen for lunch today. This store is call 'Kaede' and as a ramen store, the interior is quite modern and chic. They have a very rich soya sauce base soup with very strong dried skipjack tuna flavor which makes you sipped off all the soup. Noodle is in medium thickness, which is very chewy and has a perfect chemistry with the soup that gives a perfect balance in your mouth. (Not too salty, not too light!!) Really big recommend♪

Looks so yummy! I just went to Katana-ya, a ramen shop here in SF, and had butter corn ramen! I guess it must be a weird US flavor, but I was nicely surprised at how well butter goes with miso-based soup in taste!
Nope, not shocked at all. This is also a typical menu for Miso based ramen. But we call it the other way round: Corn Butter'!! Other common menu for salt base and soya sauce base will be 'Cyashu Ramen' which mean topped with lots of the roasted meat. The other one is 'Negi Ramen' which is topped with lots of leeks!! I always like to add seaweed on my ramen though♪♪
Oh my the way, did you used the metal spoon with lots of hole to scope up the corn!!??
